Band Director - Posted Fall 2015

The musical Director of the Upper Chesapeake Community band has sole say and responsibility for artistic matters, including but not limited to music selection, soloists, instrumental seating arrangement, and assigning parts (chairs) to the members of the band. 

The Director is responsible for being at all rehearsals at 7:00 pm on Thursday evenings. In case of not being able to be at a rehearsal, coverage will be worked out with an assistant or co-director, or the rehearsal my be cancelled. 

The Director is responsible to be at all concerts, which are scheduled well in advance. If the director will not be available for a concert date, they must notify the officers and/or work out coverage with an assistant or co-director. This position is a paid position.

 Musicians - Posted Fall 2015

We are currently looking for more musicians to fill the band. Membership is the Upper Chesapeake Community Band is voluntary, and no audition is required. A person becomes a band member upon showing interest in joining the band, demonstrating ability to perform with the band, and attending practices on a regular basis.
